SARCC has purchased a GME MT410 Personal Locater Beacon primarily for club use on tours or rides that are held in areas with poor or no mobile phone reception.

A personal locater beacon is a “peace of mind” device with one basic function. When you activate the device in a life threatening emergency your location co-ordinates are sent to a satellite which then transmits notification of your emergency and location to the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) who will expedite and co-ordinate emergency assistance to be directed to your location.
When not in use for a club event this device is available for loan to all club members.
