Proposal For A Group From SARCC To Join The Great Victorian Bike Ride

We are intending to join the Great Victorian Bike Ride from 24 to 28 November 2025 for five rides around the South West of Victoria starting at Mortlake and finishing at Camperdown, including a stretch of The Great Ocean Road. If others from SARCC would like to join us that would be even more fun.

We rode the last three days of last year’s ride and were so impressed by the organisation and the beautiful scenery. Yes, there are a lot of people but that certainly added to the atmosphere not detracted from it. Everyone was friendly and helpful too.

The organisers, Bicycle Network, have decided that after 40 years of a travelling format this year is going to be less moving camp and include two loop rides.

We are proposing that if SARCC members wish to come then we may be able to share travelling over, and even have a ride or two on route for example at Mt Gambier, Coleraine, Halls Gap or afterwards at the Otway Ranges.

I wouldn’t be too concerned about the weather being too hot in November because this is in the southern part of Victoria so should be just right.
