Samoa Cycling Tour – July 2025

We are intending to do an active 9-day holiday to Upolu, which is the main island of Samoa in July 2025. The holiday includes some cycling most days as well as snorkeling, swimming in waterfalls, beach walks and kayaking with turtles. We are inviting other interested SARCC members to join us on the adventure.

This is a commercial trip run by Cycle Journeys NZ, a company who runs several cycling holidays within New Zealand and seems very reputable. We have our own group booking for twelve, and currently we have eight participants.

Upolu Encounter Itinerary

Tuesday 22 July 2025: Arrive in Samoa
Transport from airport to hotel (we book this night)

Wednesday 23 July 2025: Bike briefing

8km cycle introduction through villages

Thursday 24 July 2025: 26km cycle to Matautu

Friday 25 July 2025: Turtle Kayak Day Trip

Saturday 26 July 2025: 35km cycle to Tafatafa Beach

Sunday 27 July 2025: 29km cycle to Lalomanu
 
Monday 28 July 2025: Free Day
 
Tuesday 29 July 2025: 37km cycle to Faleapuna
 
Wednesday 30 July 2025: 24km cycle to Apia
 
The above trip would include the following:

-Airport Transfer on arrival
-Bike hire for 8 days (inc. helmet and handlebar bag)
   -E-bikes come at an additional cost of $416.00
-Accommodation for 9 nights
-2 x Dinners
-9 x Breakfasts
-1 x Lunch
-Turtle Kayak Experience
-Daily bag transfer between accommodation locations 
-Full Support Van offering filtered water enroute 
 
Based on twin share accommodation, the per person price:  $2737.00. (This will be the same for twin share, as well as couples)
The price to upgrade to an E-bike, is an additional $416.00  
 
The single supplement price for those that would want their own rooms/fales each night, will incur an additional $935.00 as they need to absorb the full room costs themselves, over 9 x nights.
