Meet at Hallett Cove station carpark. 9:24 train from Adelaide Railway Station arrives at 10:01 Short section of the Coast to Vines trail, then follow the Waterfall Creek Trail to Majors Rd. Cycle path along Majors Rd to Happy Valley Reservoir. Gravel paths in the reservoir then to Aberfoyle Village Shopping Centre for coffee. A brief excursion to Thalassa park before joining cycle paths to Old Reynella. From there a short section along the Coast to Vines trail back to Hallett Cove Station. 10th December 2025 Victor Harbor to Waitpinga
Meet at 9.30am Kent Reserve, Kent Drive, west of Victor Harbor to offload bikes and be ready for prompt 10am start. Co-ordinates: -35.5638 138.6121. Bring lunch for lunch-stop at the Waitpinga Campground (toilet facilities there). Coffee-stop on the way back at The Boulevard Cafe, 41 Bartel Blvd, Victor Harbor. 9th December 2025 Goolwa to Victor Harbor (Tuesday)
Meet at 9.30am at the car park next to Hector’s on the Wharf, Goolwa, to offload bikes and be ready for prompt 10am start. Hector’s on the Wharf is at the wharf end of Cutting Road, near the corner of Dunbar Road. This classic ride with views of the ocean takes us along the Encounter Bikeway, with coffee-stop at Boulangerie, The Strand in Port Elliot. Bring lunch for lunch-stop in central Victor Harbor at Warland Reserve (or buy across the street from a multitude of cafes/eateries). Option to ride a further 5km to The Bluff (Rosetta Head) and back. Distance (return to Goolwa) 48km. Suit all bikes. For those wanting to ride just one way (24km), please make your own arrangements. There are good car-parking facilities at Kent Reserve, off Kent Drive, west of Victor Harbor, just a 2km ride along the cycleway. Meet 10.00 a.m. at the weir, ride to Crafers via the Mt Barker Freeway bike path. On to Crafers West to Sheoak Rd. with a very very steep fast descent, right into Pony Ridge Road to the end. Pick up walking path and walk bikes for 15mins down very steep but safe switch backed walking trail to end at far eastern end of Brownhill Creek. Ride out of Brownhill Creek Park to Waite Institute for coffee/lunch. Ride through Myrtle Bank and Fullarton to Porter St, to South Parklands, to East Parklands and Hackney Rd to Torrens Linear Park to Weir. 12th November 2025 Little Para River Trail
Meet at Mawson Lakes railway station and bus interchange at 9.45am for prompt start at 10am. The train departs Adelaide Central at 9.23am to arrive at Mawson Lakes Interchange at 9.40am. For those driving there, there is a car-parking area bound by Elder Smith Road, Metro Parade and Central Link, however car spaces can be limited. Approaching from Main North Road, take a left turn on Elder Smith Road, or approaching from Salisbury Highway, take a right turn on Elder Smith Road. There are public toilets at the interchange. The ride involves a circuitous route along shady bikeways and interesting river trails. There will be a coffee stop at a bakery. Bring optional snack/small lunch item for a second rest stop. 29th October 2025 Mt Crawford – Mt Pleasant
Meet at 9.30am for 10am start at the car park on Warren Road, corner of Chalks Road (near the intersection of Warren Road and Forreston Road). The most direct way from the city is via Houghton on the B10, then take the B31 turnoff, and then turn right onto Checker Hill Road, then left onto Forreston Road. Allow an hour’s drive to arrive at the meeting point. A scenic ride with some bitumen but mostly along forest tracks and country roads through tall pine-tree plantations. Coffee stop at Lovell’s Bakery, Mt Pleasant, a quaint rustic little place with spacious outdoor sitting area and a great selection of cakes! 22nd October 2025 – MTB Trails of the Linear Park
Meet at 10am at the Torrens Weir. Dean and Brian (Smokey) will lead a ride from the weir, which willl include the MTB trails between the weir and the sea. 17th September 2025 Barossa Loop Ride
Meet in the car park off the main street of Lyndoch. Leave 10 am. Ride to Tanunda (may do a detour around the town) then Nuriootpa central for coffee. After Nuriootpa there is a cross country dirt road stretch. Complete the loop to Lyndoch. For those not wanting to do the cross country dirt roads return to Lyndoch from Nuriootpa the way we came. Sealed roads to Nuriootpa. Lyndoch to Tanunda rolling hills with some steep sections. Relatively flat after that. For those going by train the ride from Gawler to Lyndoch will take at least an hour. Meet at weir. Head east up Torrens valley on north side of river. Follow river up Gorge Road until reach Corkscrew Road. Climb up Corkscrew road and then turn right onto Montacute Road. Head west along Montacute Road until reach St Georges Bakehouse for coffee. Head west along Montacute Road reach Meadows Avenue and then head north. Meander through back streets. 9th July 2025 McLaren Vale Coast Willunga Circuit
Meet at the McLaren Vale visitors centre carpark to leave about 10 am. Those that wish to take a train from Adelaide to Seaford it’s an 8 km ride to the McLaren Vale visitors centre. Catch 8:26 or 8:41 train. Coffee at the Star of Greece. Ride along esplanade then head east crossing the South Road with care. Detour to the Aldinga Aerodrome. Lunch and or coffee stop at Willunga rose garden. Take the Shiraz trail to Mclaren Vale. There are gravel patches. Should be back at the centre around 2pm to travel back to Adelaide.

Meet on the corner of South and East Terrace and Beaumont Road (carpark). Ride through eastern suburbs to Skye and return. Hills and more hills. We can view the city from the top of the ridge at the end of Kensington Road. Some dirt tracks.

30th April 2025 Belair to Seaford Meadows
Ride starts at Belair Station at 10:10am and finishes at Seaford Meadows Station. Train to Belair leaves Adelaide station at 9:31am stopping at every station along the way. Return train depends on arrival time at end of ride. Moving time is estimated as approximately 4hrs.
The route comprises 25% gravel and wide tyres are recommended. Distance is 48km and there are 680m of climbing but 978m of lovely decent! The route we follow winds through Belair National park, up Pole Rd to Ironbank, down Ironbark Rd, Cherry Gardens Rd and Dorset Vale Rd to the gravel turn off at Frith Rd. From here we wind our way down to Clarendon for a ~30 min break. From there we avoid the main road by taking a back road up to Easton then Piggot Rds. Then its all down hill (13.2km & 400m) to the Onkaparinga River Park with a small deviation to a view point overlooking the Onkaparinga Gorge. We will depart there at 9:45am, ride to McLaren Vale, and return to Seaford Station or for a longer ride to Hallet Cove Station. 19th February 2025 Coast to Vines Trail The Pedlar Creek bridge on the Coast to Vines trail will be closed, so the ride will now be:
Meet at 10am at the Hallett Cove Railway Station.
Mt Torrens – Warmington – Amy Gillett
Meet at Oval Road Mt Torrens. Head south down Townsend Street/Springhead Road until reach Y junction with Sheoak Hill Road. Ride up Sheoak Hill Road heading east. At the T junction turn right and head south down Warmington Run. Turn off at Sandy Waterhole Road. An alternative would be to turn off earlier at Dunn Road. Can be a bit boggy. Follow road heading generally in south westerly direction. Head on to Kings Road heading downhill. Name changes to Harrison Road and then Ridge Road. Turn right at Naughtons Road. Watch out for a very sharp right turn on Naughtons road. Stop for coffee at Melba’s Chocolate Factory or head up to Barrister Block for wine. Head up Christies Creek towards the hills (Gentle climb)
Then follow the Coast to Vines Trail south to Pedlars Creek and bike paths to Moana.
Coffee at Moana.
Follow the coastal path north through Pt Noarlunga (with a short detour along the newly opened shared pathway around the cliffs) to Christies Beach.
Then back up Christies Creek to the Christies Downs Station

8th January 2025 Willunga Hill (up), Wickham Hill Rd (down)
Meet at Willunga Rose Garden (Aldinga Rd). The climb is not really so tough. It is followed by the steady and very picturesque ride along Range Road (East). A great sealed down-hill run takes us to McLaren Flat for coffee. Then comes the great new scenic bike-way to McLaren Vale. Travel along the rail trail back to Willunga.
To travel by train catch the 8.11 from Adelaide to arrive at Seaford 9.01. This will give good time to ride to Willunga. Can then skip the rail trail section back to Willunga and ride from McLaren Vale back to Seaford.

Meet at Stirling behind the oval. Ride to Mylor via Aldgate and then head north to Bridgewater. Head back to Aldgate and then to a loop to the south west to the Woorabinda Bush Reserve and return to Stirling and back to Crafers.
Mainly on bitumen roads with no bike lanes. Please use back lights on all country roads and watch out for kangaroos.

Meet at car park near toll house. Ride up Crafers bikeway adjacent to the freeway. Continue on to Mt Barker Road under the freeway, past Devil’s Elbow and up the hill. Turn left at Mt Lofty Summit Road and continue up to Mt Lofty cafe for coffee.

2nd October 2024 Mt Torrens – Warmington – Amy Gillett
Meet at Oval Road Mt Torrens. Head south down Townsend Street until reach Y junction with Sheoak Road. Ride up Sheoak Road heading east. At the T junction turn right and head south down Warmington Run. Turn off at Sandy Waterhole Road. An alternative would be to turn off earlier at Dunn Road. Can be a bit boggy. Follow road heading generally in south westerly direction. Turn right at Kings Road heading downhill. Name changes to Harrison Road and then Ridge Road. Turn right at Naughtons Road. Stop for coffee at Melba’s Chocolate Factory or head up to Barrister Block for wine. Head back along the Amy Gillett bikeway back to Mt Torrens.

Meet at weir. Head east up Torrens valley on north side of river. Follow river up Gorge Road until reach Corkscrew Road. Climb up Corkscrew road and then turn right onto Montacute Road. Head west along Montacute Road until reach St Georges Bakehouse for coffee. Head west along Montacute Road reach Meadows Avenue and then head north. Meander through back streets. 4th September 2024 Barossa Loop Ride
Meet in the car park off the main street of Lyndoch. Leave 10 am. Ride to Tanunda (may do a detour around the town) then Nuriootpa central for coffee. After Nuriootpa there is a cross country dirt road stretch. Complete the loop to Lyndoch. For those not wanting to do the cross country dirt roads return to Lyndoch from Nuriootpa the way we came. Sealed roads to Nuriootpa.

Meet up for 10am start in the main street near toilets in Hutton Reserve, Kanmantoo. A gravel road ride through rolling hills and dales with return via bitumen or gravel road. Step overs where the Lavender Federation Trail enters/exits the Monarto Woodlands. No facilities available on the ride, so bring your own morning tea and lunch. Meet at Drage Reserve. Ride through back streets. Cross Lower North East Road. Follow Fourth Creek to Morialta Conservation Park. Ride up and back to Morialta Falls Carpark. Head north north east via Marola Ave etc… to Maryvale Road. Follow Fifth Creek Track to the Torrens, downstream to Silkes Road, to the Rezz for coffee. Backtrack Silkes Rd to Linear Park and Paradise Interchange, Obahn bike path past Par 3 Golf Course and on to Drage Reserve. There is about 5 km of gravel track.
