Port Elliott – SARCC Extended Weekend

Report and Photos: Allison & Geoffrey Cornish

A small band of happy bikers spent a few enjoyable days at Port Elliot. On Friday afternoon we gathered at the Port Elliot Caravan Park where some of our participants were staying and headed down to Victor Harbor along the Encounter Bikeway led by Trevor Cakebread in cool conditions and returned in a slight drizzle late afternoon. Saturday saw the group head off in beautiful sunshine for a ride to Goolwa and across to Hindmarsh Island to view the Murray mouth. Lunch at the Goolwa bakery was a nice treat. Happy Hour and a BBQ that night in the Camp kitchen. We headed for Currency Creek on Sunday and coffee and cake at the Winery. Thanks to Trevor for organising a great weekend.
