The BoaTS (Bit of a Tour Series) Rides started in the 2008-09 season making this 2026-27 BoaTS Rides season the 19th. Each of the BoaTS Rides closely follows a part of a Tour Down Under 2027 stage so as to give participants a chance to ride the same route as the world’s best men and women cyclists.
Most of the BoaTS Rides are loops starting and finishing at a café or bakery and some are point-to-point from and to railway stations.
Some rides have a lunch stop approximately halfway while others incorporate snack breaks with lunch at the conclusion of the ride.
Participants are responsible for their own transport to the start and from the finish of the rides, their own food and drink, their own medical requirements and their own mechanical needs.
The BoaTS Rides vary in length from 35 to 61km and the total ascending varies from 518 to 828m.
All of this season’s rides are on bitumen suitable for any bikes, particularly road bikes.
Ride cancellation policy: SARCC’s policy with respect to Fire Danger and Extreme Weather will be followed. However the Ride Coordinator, Stu Clement, will cancel the ride if the temperature is greater than 32° at the ride’s lowest point as forecast at 1800 the night before.
