Preliminary Details

Start Date – Saturday 12th September

(Will not be before this but may be delayed a few days depending on bus time tables and availability.)

Riding time 8 – 10 days.

Concept

Catch a bus to Blinman with bikes (probably Genesis Tours)

Stay in Blinman or nearby station for 2 or 3 days with day loops on PARs to Nuccaleena and Artimore.

Ride to Hawker via Gum Creek Station, Willow Springs Station, Sacred Canyon and Rawnsley Park. (ie not the Mawson Trail)

Rest Day in Hawker

Hawker to Port Augusta via the plains to the West of the Flinders Range (Hookina, Neuroodla, Warrakimbo and Yadlumalka).

Return to Adelaide under your own steam. (Alternatives – ride, bus (4 per day) or catch a train.

This is a tour for experienced riders with food and water for several days to be carried on the bike on station tracks and roads in remote areas.

Numbers will be limited to 8 – 10 maximum due to camping out on several nights with no facilities.

Preference will be given to people who have been on Perfect day rides and or tours previously.

(the leader reserves the right to not accept any person he thinks may not be up to the ride).

The costs and exact itinerary will depend on the number of people coming.
