Some information about the rides
Monday October 13 at Hamilton Morning orientation ride around Hamilton including Lake Hamilton, Strathkellar and Tarrington. 30 kms
This is an easy ride with made cycle paths, bitumen roads and is generally flat.
There is a coffee shop at Tarrington or back to camp for lunch.

Tuesday October 14 at Hamilton Ride to Nigretta and Wannon Falls. 55 kms.
This ride is all on roads some of which may be unsurfaced. Some undulations but not very demanding. There are no shops along the way. I propose that we have lunch at Wannon Scenic Reserve where there are tables, chairs and pit toilets.

Wednesday October 15 at Hamilton Ride to Mount Napier State Park. 46 – 56 kms
We will ride to Tarrington along the cycle path and then take a variety of minor roads, some unsealed, to the Mount Napier State Forest. I propose to explore a little into the State Forest to find a lunch spot. There are no facilities here. It is possible to shorten the ride by not exploring into the forest.

Friday October 17 at Gellibrand Ride the Old Beechy Rail Trail to Colac and back. 52.4 kms
(or Barongarook and back 31.6 kms)
This ride follows the old 2’6’ railway track and can be considered in stages.
Gellibrand to Kawarren 6 kms. Gravel path described as easy
Kawarren to Watson & Facey’s 3.5 kms. Gravel path with a significant hill. We can all walk!
Watson and Facey’s to Barongarook. 6.3 kms Some sealed some gravel. Easy
Barongarook to Colac. 10.6 kms. Medium to difficult with steady uphills on way back. Some sealed some unsealed roads and tracks.
Take lunch or buy in Colac.
Saturday October 18 at Gellibrand Ride the Old Beechy Rail Trail to Beech Forest & back. 36.8 (50.8)kms
This ride follows the railway track but has sections on road.
Gellibrand to Banool 6.3 km. Gravel path. Easy-Medium steady uphill.
Banool to Dinmont 7.6 kms Gravel path and road. Medium-difficult. Steady uphill.
Dinmont to Beech Forest 4.5 kms Gravel road and path. Medium to difficult. Steady uphill.
Possible extension to the Otway Fly and Triplet Falls (an extra 14 kms)
Take lunch or buy in Beech Forest.
Should be a great ride back down hill
